Itac work closely with fabric coaters who in turn are working closely with their customers to develop new products or enhance existing ones. We develop a deep understanding of the end use, the way the product is made, and the fabric coating process itself, before proposing an appropriate formulation to meet performance requirements.
Itac draw on many years’ experience in the sector and combine this with expertise in formulating new materials, whilst taking advantage of the latest chemicals available.
How we do it
Itac recognises that a special application needs a bespoke formulation. Each customer will have subtle differences in the performance level they are striving for, and each coating process will give slighting different results. This often requires unique formulations to be developed.
We listen to customers’ needs before proposing a formulation, and then work closely with the customer through lab tests and small-scale production trials, to modify and refine the formulation, and to optimise product performance.
Our technical team liaise with chemical suppliers to ensure that we are using the latest and best materials. This in turn allows us to bring new ideas and innovations to our customers, enhancing their products in partnership.
