Volvo – famous for its ultra safe cars, has developed paint that could make cycling at night a whole lot safer.
The Swedish car maker is trialling an invisible spray paint through cycle shops in London. Early feedback is very positive and the product named LifePaint could soon be rolled out internationally. The spray can be applied to all sorts of items including clothing, shoes, helmets and bike frames. The further possibilities for LifePaint are extremely wide, as it could also be used on push chairs and children’s bags and clothing – even on animal collars, to make them far more visible at night when illuminated by vehicle headlights.
